What is the use of Moduretic?

Moduretic 5/50 mg Tablets (30 tablets) is a combination medication used primarily to manage hypertension (high blood pressure) and edema (fluid retention) in conditions such as heart failure or kidney disease.

It contains two active ingredients. Amiloride (5 mg) - A potassium-sparing diuretic that helps prevent the loss of potassium while promoting the removal of excess water and salt from the body. Hydrochlorothiazide (50 mg) - A thiazide diuretic that works by helping the kidneys remove excess sodium, chloride, and water, which helps reduce blood pressure and fluid buildup.

Indications: Moduretic is commonly prescribed for the following conditions: Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): It helps to lower blood pressure by reducing excess fluid and sodium in the body, thus improving heart function and reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.
