ESO UP-Q20MG 14S CAP

ESO UP-Q 20 mg Capsules 14's contain Esomeprazole 20 mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach. It is used to treat acid-related gastrointestinal conditions.

Uses

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Heartburn and acid reflux
• Erosive esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus)
• Gastric and duodenal ulcers
• Prevention of ulcers associated with NSAID use
• Part of combination therapy to eradicate Helicobacter pylori infection (with antibiotics)
• Zollinger–Ellison syndrome (excess stomach acid production)

Dosage

• Adults: Usually 1 capsule (20 mg) once daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
• Treatment duration depends on the condition being treated.

How to take

• Take 30–60 minutes before a meal, preferably before breakfast.
• Swallow the capsule whole with water.
• Do not crush or chew the capsule.

Possible side effects

Common side effects may include:

• Headache
• Nausea
• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea or constipation
• Flatulence

Seek medical attention if you experience severe allergic reactions, persistent diarrhea, or black stools.

Precautions

• Inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease or osteoporosis.
