Acino Pantozol 40 mg Tablets (15 tablets) is a medication commonly used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and other conditions related to excess stomach acid. The active ingredient in Acino Pantozol is Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Composition: Active Ingredient: Pantoprazole 40 mg. Indications: Acino Pantozol 40 mg is used to treat the following conditions: Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Acino Pantozol helps reduce symptoms like heartburn, acid regurgitation, and damage to the esophagus caused by stomach acid. Peptic Ulcers: It is used to treat ulcers in the stomach and the first part of the small intestine (duodenum) and may help prevent their recurrence. Helicobacter pylori Eradication: It is used in combination with antibiotics to treat infections caused by H. pylori, a bacterium responsible for some ulcers. Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: This is a rare condition where the stomach produces too much acid; PPI medications like Pantoprazole are used to reduce acid secretion.Prevention of Ulcer Formation: In some cases, it may be prescribed to prevent ulcers related to the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
