Omeprazole tablets belong to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors. They work by reducing the amount of acid produced in your stomach. Omeprazole tablets are used to treat the following conditions in adults:

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): This is where stomach acid escapes into the gullet (the tube connecting your throat to your stomach), causing heartburn and inflammation.
Ulcers: Both gastric (stomach) and duodenal (upper part of the intestine) ulcers, including those infected with Helicobacter pylori bacteria. If you have this condition, your doctor may also prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection and allow the ulcer to heal.
NSAID-induced ulcers: Omeprazole tablets can also be used to prevent ulcers caused by medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs).
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: This is a condition caused by excessive acid production in the stomach, leading to ulcers.

Direction to Use:

The typical adult dose of Minisec-20 is 20-40 mg once daily

Dryness in mouth.
Headache.
Fundic gland polyps.
