Magnesium sulfate, sold as Epsom salt, is a mineral compound that's used for different health and medical purposes. It's taken orally for occasional constipation, and it's also used as a soaking solution to help relieve pain caused by soreness, muscle aches, sprains, bruises, or other ailments.
Direction to use
Add 2 cups of Epsom salt to a warm bath and soak to reduce the pain and swelling of sprains and bruises.
Exfoliate and soften the skin in the shower
Side effects
If you're going to drink Epsom salts dissolved in water to relieve constipation, follow the directions carefully. If you don't use it correctly, it can cause serious diarrhea and dehydration
