Product Description
Hyoscine butyl bromide is used to treat cramps (spasms) of the stomach, intestines, and bladder.
It may be used to stop spasms before radiology imaging.Its anticholinergic action exerts a smooth-muscle relaxing/spasmolytic effect. Blockade of the muscarinic receptors in the GI tract is the basis for its use in the treatment of abdominal pain secondary to cramping.
Direction to Use:
Adults: 10 ml to 20 ml, three to four times daily.
Children (6–12 years): 10ml three times daily.
Side Effects
Serious side effects: Eye problems: pain and vision loss.
Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):
Dry mouth.
Dizziness.
Increased heart rate.
Other side effects include: difficulty passing urine, constipation, sweating, and blurred vision.
